Benefits Finding Mr Bright...

Last night I had the pleasure of attending Benefits Event for Finding Mr Bright at their Spitalfield Market branch. As you may remember L and myself got to go to the Bella Bamba event (which you can see here) which was amazing! This time L couldn't attend so my lovely friend Hannah came along with me. And this time was just as fantastic which lot of lovely cakes, bubbly and the Flirt Guru!
As I have said we went for the launch of Finding Mr Bright which is you brightening makeup MANual, it retails at £28.50. It comes with Girl meets Pearl (7.5ml), Posietint (4ml), High Beam (2.5ml), Erase Paste No2 (3.2g) a comes in a great handy bag size storage box with a little mirror attached.

As I said the set is a perfect bag sized box so would be great for packing when going away save taking your full sized products with you. What Benefit say about the product:

'Ladies, this brightening kit is quite a catch! Finding Mr. Bright is filled with all of the essentials for a luminous complexion. Complete with a step-by-step brightening lesson...this kit's the total package!'

So a bit about the products:

Girl Meets Pearl - Benefit call this their 'liquid pearl for the face' its a complexion enhancer that can patted over your make-up or just wear it alone, its has such a lovely scent (due to the raspberry and chamomile).

Posietint - This is a paler and much pinkier toned version of the Benetint and can be used on the cheeks or lips as a stain. I don't actual have this as I am quite loyal to my Benetint but I wished I had purchased this sooner. As Lisa said at the event 'If Barbie had blood this would be it!'

High Beam - Is a pinky toned highlighter that suits all skin tones and can actually be used in a couple of different ways. I have this and like to either mix some in with my foundation or just use some on my brow and cheek bones. As Benefit say its known as 'the supermodel in a bottle'.

Erase Paste - And finally you get erase paste in no2, which is brightening camouflage for eyes and face. This is one of mine and L's go to product we both couldn't live with out it, you can see L's review here. My only issue with this in the box is that it is in shade 2 which really is too dark for me as I use no1.

During the event we got shown the prefect way to apply the set by Lisa and Hannah, we also got introduced to the new b.right Radiant Skincare range (post later today).

We also got to have a look round the store and test all of their current products.

They also provided drink, canapes and lovely mini cupcakes designed with the Finding Mr Bright toppers! How cute!My self and Hannah also had some make-up done, Hannah had received Posietint as a gift but really want sure on the colour but Lisa gave her some great tips on how to apply it...doesn't she look gorgeous! I got to try some of the Girl Meets Pearl as I have never used it before.

We also got a lovely gift to take home form the evening which has the Finding Mr Bright, and two lovely sample sized perfumes from their range.

ELF Pageant Princess and Fierce & 20% off ELF Mineral Range

How is everyone? I wanted to show you the two extra ELF Mineral lipglosses I ordered after loving my ELF Mineral Lipgloss in Sorority Girl which you can see here.

The two new additions are Pageant Princess and Fierce, again both of these are £3. Pageant Princess is a girly baby pink with a hint on gold shimmer and fierce is coral shade, check out the other shades here.
I am so pleased with Pageant Princess, it has the same texture as Sorority girl and again doesn't have any scent (which I really like). The colour is very wearable and glides on easily.

I love the colour of Fierce except this is not the same texture as Sorority Girl and Pageant Princess, its a tad sticky :( but not as bad as a MAC lipgloss! But I will still use this but I am not as impressed as my other shades.

NOTD Barry M Pink Flamingo

I hope everyone is well, today's post is a quick NOTD for you! I have been a bit nail varnish mad at the moment and I am using a lot more colours I wouldn't normally use. I will do a post shortly on my full collection as it has grown massively!

Today's NOTD is with Barry M (you can see our other Barry M colours here)Pink Flamingo which I purchased recently in boots on a 2 for £5 offer. I have applied 2 coats of the polish and I am happy with the finish, its such a bright sort of neon pink. Its certainly a colour I would only wear on the weekend or for a night out (though I can wear colours to work).

I have never really looked at pinks before I tend to stick with darks or taupe's but I also picked up Barry M Coral (post to come) and No7 in Hot Pink with my £5 off voucher as well recently (post to come). But I actually really love the Barry M colour and I like it on my skin tone which I wouldn't though it would be my sort of colour.

Are you a fan of pinks? Have you tried this Barry M colour?

E.L.F NOTD's - Dark Glitter Purple, Innocent, Desert Haze

I mentioned that I had made a massive E.L.F order which you can see here, I have decided to show the haul in separate post as there was far too much for one post!

The nail varnish's I brought in Dark Glitter Purple, Innocent and Desert Haze. E.L.F nail varnish are £1.50 and you can take a look here at what colours are available. I already have some E.L.F nail varnishes now which you can see swatches of some of the:

• Metal Maddess, Cranberry and Chocolate here.
• Royal Purple here.

For the swatches below I have used 2 coats for them all. I actually quite like the E.L.F nail polishes especially for the price. Though I have noticed that they do start to separate in my nail box and you need to give them a good shake before I use them, anyone noticed this???

I first decided to pick up Desert Haze as I was hoping it was similar to my Diet Coke Nails Inc London, you can see a swatch of London here.

I do think the two are quite similar though Desert Haze is much lighter, and due to this I ordered one for my mum as well as she loves the colour of Nails Inc London.

I also picked up ELF Innocent as I have been wanting to get some paler and more neutral shades. This has a much pinker tone than Desert Haze, out of these two colours I think Desert Haze will get far ore use but Innocent is a nice addition to my ever growing collection. Last up is Dark Purple Glitter, which is a great shade the image makes it look a tad violet but in the flesh it is a rich purple shade. A small gripe I have with this shade is it was a nightmare to remove from my nails! For the price of these nail varnishes they are good, though they are by far not the best nail varnishes ever. I don't particularly like the odour (its quite strong)and as I mentioned above a couple of mine have separated if not used regularly. But I will be picking more up.

What are you thoughts on ELF nail varnishes? Do you have a favourite shade?

Lipglosses - Cheap & Cheerful vs MAC

I have recently picked up three new lipglosses, two were just spur of the moment buys and one was on my wish list for a long time. The three I got were 17 Va Va Voom in Buff, ELF Mineral Lipgloss in Sorority Girl and MAC Lusterglass in Love Nectar. And out of the three I had been lusting after MAC Love Nectar, I thought the colour was gorgeous.

Now for a bit about each lipgloss:

17 Va Va Voom in Buff (Nude) - this is from the 17 Spring Collection and I purchased this with a nail polish and the Metallic Nudes Palette which you can see here. This costs £3.79 and online it is available in 3 shades which you can see here. This lipgloss is a great nude sparkly shade and I have been wearing it loads and loads. It is classed as va va voom as it plumps you lips up as 17 say on the Boots website 'Get ready for the tingling sensation' . This is quite a strong sensation but I don't mind, I can't say I notice a massive change in my lips. But for the price and the colour I think I might pick up another one.

ELF Mineral Lipgloss in Sorority Girl - this £3.00 from ELF, and comes in 11 shades at present. I purchased this when I was picking up the 32 eyeshadow set (post to come shortly). This is a lovely colour though darer than I thought as I had searched for some swatches online and I was expecting something a little paler, but I do like the colour. This lipgloss is a lovely formula, its so soft and silky.

MAC Lusterglass in Love Nectar - this cost me £12.50 and you can check out more about it here. I already own a MAC plushglass (post here) and I had my eye on this lusterglass for a while, I had seen lots of swatches and I love the colour. The colour is great but I have to say I am a little disappointed with this lipgloss. Its sticky (you know that one where you hair all gets stuck in it) and I don't particular like the applicator (its a little brush, the 17 and ELF are your normal applicators). So when you compare all three, I have ranked them 1-3 (1 the best):

As you can see the ELF lipgloss is my favourite with the 17 following closely, I will be buying more from Mineral lipglosses from ELF especially for the price. I am disappointed with my MAC purchase, I will use it but I will be disappointed everytime I put it on!
