Favourite Bronzer

I'm not a huge fan of Bronzer's - it's so easy with pale skin to end up being heavy handed. It can all end badly! That being said however I LOVE Bare Minerals Warmth Bronzer.

I had my initial reservations given how dark it looks, but after being shown how to correctly apply it for my skin tone at the Bare Minerals counter it's so wearable for any skin tone. It just adds a subtle sun kissed glow! Also it's matte which I love - I'm not convinced by shimmery bronzer.

The only down side is the packaging for me. It's in the usual mineral tub so it gets everywhere. I know Bare Minerals changed their packaging to include a shifter so you can just get a little out, but I'm not sure if that was just for their foundations or their whole range.

I need very little on the brush and then I sweep it on both sides of my face, basic in a 3 shape. I then run it quickly down my nose.

I actually purchased it as a part of a starter set but you can pick it up for around £19.00 on it's own.

ELF's Nars Dupe

Now in the Blogging community this has certainly been compared to Nars Limited Edition Orgasm and Laguna, you can see a link to the Nars compact here to see what you think. I mainly got mine as ELF were running a 50% off code and though why not give it a go.

The Compact is just called Blush and Bronzer Compact and normally cost £3.50 but I got mine with the code for £1.75...complete bargain! What ELF say;
'Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition. (Blush and Bronze both have a soft shimmer).

Directions

Brush on the “bronze” to the hollow of the cheeks for definition and dust around the face line to create a healthy glow. Use the “blush” on the apple of the cheeks to create a subtle healthy glow.
'

First off I have to say that the packaging is very good on this considering the price. It looks sleek and neat. Inside you have the blusher on the left and the bronzer of the right with a handy mirror.

How gorgeous does the peachy shade look! As you can see both have a slight shimmer to them.

Swatches of both are below.

I really like the blush shade, its certainly something new for my blusher collection and I don't have anything similar. I am not a big user og bronzer but I will attempt to try to use this. You can see the blusher on below.

Sorry for the rubbish picture, I had quickly swiped it on my cheeks so it looks a bit rubbish but I really like it. Its gives such a warm glow. Its not a shade I would have normally gone for but I like it on my skin on a sunny day. But I would not use in the winter as against my Ginger hair I'm not sure it looks right on a winter day.

Have you got this?

Thanks

W7 Africa Bronzer

Hey,

Just had to show you one of my new favourites!

Its W7 Africa, I hadn't really tried much from W7 except the odd nail varnish.
This is a lovely multi tonal bronzer and I managed to get mine for £3.99 at New Look. Now I did see this over on Nicoletta's Blog, check out here post and blog here, and I knew I had to have it. She managed to get her's for £1.99 from Savers, but when I saw this in New Look I decided to just grap it.

As you can see from the image above this isn't to over the top, no big sparkle just lovely shimmery colours. Now for the swatches, firstly just heavily swiped on the left and blended on the right.

Again just applied with my brush to the back on my hand.

I am sorry for the lack of facial shots in the post, I have a big blemish that just looked awful in every picture!

I have been using this everyday since picking it up and I love it. I like it that much that I got one to add to the giveaway which you can still enter here.

Have you tried any W7 products?

17 Miami Pop and a Freebie

17 have launched their new Summer collection called Miami Pop, though its a shame that the weather has gone a bit rubbish!! With the launch of the new collection 17 are also running an offer that if you buy 2 items from the 17 range you get a free gift containing 2 nail polishes, a nail file and some nail art stickers. So not to miss out I took a look at the new range and decided to grab 2 items so I could get the free gift.

First I'll show you the gift,

It comes in a lovely little gift bag and everything was wrapped up neat in the tissue paper. The nails polishes are a red and a pink, I applied two coats for the swatches the pink could have done with another coat really! Neither are bad though considering they are free. I am not sure I will use anything else from the gift set, definitely aimed for 17's teenage customers!

Out of the two the pink is my favourite as it is much more wearable for my skin tone.

To be able to get this gift I got myself the new Miami Pop Bronzer and 17 Summer nail polish in Palm Beach. The bronzer is £4.99 and comes in the very brighter packaging for this range. Its a marble baked design of two golden shades.

I have to say it actually looks quite garish in the packaging when I opened it up at home. It is also very shimmery, you would need to apply it quite sparingly as it may look at bit over the top! I think you can see that from the swatch above, I just don't feel it suits my fair skin it would be much better for a darker skin tone! I actually wished I 'd got the lipgloss instead.

I also picked up a nail polish, there was a choice of two Down Town (a juicy bright orange) and Palm Beach ( a bright pink). I settled on Palm beach and I love it, it was £2.99.

Its a such a great pink colour, bright and fun - brilliant for the summer.

Overall I like the fun packaging - though I know many won't as it could be perceived to look cheap and a little tacky. I feel the bronzer is suited to a darker skin tone than mine. But the nail polishes seem like a nice investment for the summer and I would be interested to try the lipgloss.

Have you been tempted by the fun, funky and bright Miami Pop? Let me know what you think of the range! Also send any links of swatches of the other item.

Thanks

Accessorize Bronzer in Golden Sands

Ok so I LOVE the Accessories Makeup range. For the price I think the packaging and quality of the products is spot on and so far I've not been disppointed with the bits I've tried.

I actually picked up this bronzer awhile ago but just haven't got around to reviewing it. Despite using it everyday since getting it!

I've never really used bronzers before. I'm obviously quite fair skinned and tend to find that some bronzers - especially drugstore brands are too dark for me. I end up with orangey patches on my face - so bad! This though is a gorgeous golden colour that just gives my skin a glow.

To top it off, it just shimmery and not glittery. The perfect combination for me.
Definately recommend checking out the range. I think I paid around £5.50, bargain.
