Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Dragon Fruit NOTD GNP11

Just a quick NOTD featuring Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Dragon Fruit.

With the weather finally looking up its made me want to crack open the bright nail shades. And though I do have a lot of nail polishes I decided I wanted something new. I had been wanting to try these Gelly nail polishes fom Barry M for a while and this shade jumped out to me. The idea behind the concept is a glossy high shine in one coat. I did do two coats here but I have seen in reviews if other shades they are opaque in one coat.

This polish is a great spring shade...I will be making good use of this throughout spring and summer.
These retail at £3.99 and are available in 13 shades and I now really want Blueberry and Lychee.

Have you tried any? What do you think?

Thanks

NOTD Barry M Blue Moon

Just a quick NOTD for you!
This is Barry M Moon Blue, my lovely colleagues from work got it me for helping their team out!
This is such a lovely shade. It's pale powdery blue with a slight shimmer running through it. But for those who do not like a shimmery polish, it isn't really look shimmery once applied and dried.

The polish is quite sheer, it took 3 coats for the finish above (4 would have been better!). It such a gorgeous shade for the price though, it's aso very flattering on. A great summer shade without being too bright or in your face. It would be lovely as a holiday nail look!

These retail at £2.99 and you can purchase here.

Are you a Barry M fan? What's your favourite shade?

You can see our previous Barry M posts here.

Thanks

Croc effect anyone?

Well Barry M caused a storm when they released their crackle nail polish last year, we featured it here. Now everyone has a crackle top coat of some sort on the market. Barry M have now decided to branch into Croc Effect nail polish.
I have a feeling Andrea Fulerton already does a croc effect??

The polish is released today online only and retails at £3.99.

Now I have not been convinced by crackle polish but I would like to see whether this gives a neater effect.

Thanks

Barry M Lipgloss combos

So a while ago I picked up the I picked up the Impulse body spray that had the Limited Edition Barry M gloss free with them. I'm a bit late, well very late blogging about the offer however I really wanted to show you how I've been using them.

First up, the pink gloss.

Barry M Pink and MAC Cream Cup

This one has a bit of a sparkle to it, which I usually tend to avoid in lip glosses however it does seem to have that grainy feeling that some get. It's very much a baby pink colour with a fruity sweet smell to it - it made me think of strawberry chewits.

I like to pair this up with my MAC Cream Cup - I love the lipstick on its own but I'm very much a gloss girl. Never feel right without it.

left to right - Mac Cream Cup with Barry M Pink over the top, MAC Cream Cup on its own, Barry M Pink on its own

And here's the combo on,

Next up is my favourite of the glosses,

Barry M Caramel and Barry M Nude - stickers come off so not sure of the number and can't find it on the website

I love this gloss. It's just a nice simple gloss that's lovely and smooth. Also it doesn't have any glitter to it - bonus! It has a caramel scent to it which I love.

Barry M gloss and lipstick, Barry M Lipstick, Barry M Gloss
Here it is on,

I just find that with both of these combo's that I get a nice glossy but natural look. Perfect for the a natural day look.

Fancy a bit of Peach....

Today's post is just a quick NOTD featuring Barry M Peach Melba and Coral. Now I know you guys have probably seen the latter everywhere in the blog world but I picked up Peach Melba with Coral just the other day so I wanted to show you a quick post.

As the sun has been shining I have been craving some bright and cheerful nail colours...this craving lead me to Barry M as they are full of bright and summery colours. I finally decided that I needed Peach Melba as it is such a pretty shade for finger nails and I picked Coral for my toes. I have tried to capture the shades of both with and without the flash below.
These are great summer shades and both were quite different to anything I already owned (I have a tendency to have a lot of Nude tones at the moment and Navy's).

Both swatches were three coats until I was happy that they were opaque. You can get Barry M from most Boots or Superdrug for £2.99 and you can see the colours available on www.barrym.com/nail-paints.

What summer colours are you craving for your nails?

Thanks

Fresh and a little bit Fruity...

Now the sun is shining I am craving lots of fresh bright colours! Luckily it seems the highstreet and make-up brands are feeling the same.

ASOS has a whole nail section called Zing It On, which is full of fun bright and fresh colours. They also have some great make-up choices in these shades.

Sleek have there new i-Divine Palette in Paraguaya which which you can see here, its full of lovely peaches and apricots.

Barry M have some amazing shades which you can see the full range here, but my faourites are Peach Melba, Strawberry Ice Cream, Lemon Ice Cream, Pink Flamingo and Coral.

Also Models Own and Barry M both do some great eyeshadows in these shades. I am not sure I am brave enough to try alot of the oranges, yellows and greens, but I love the peach and coral shades.

Are you a fan of these shades? anyone got any must have buys?

Thanks

NOTD Barry M Pink Flamingo

Hey,

I hope everyone is well, today's post is a quick NOTD for you! I have been a bit nail varnish mad at the moment and I am using a lot more colours I wouldn't normally use. I will do a post shortly on my full collection as it has grown massively!

Today's NOTD is with Barry M (you can see our other Barry M colours here)Pink Flamingo which I purchased recently in boots on a 2 for £5 offer. I have applied 2 coats of the polish and I am happy with the finish, its such a bright sort of neon pink. Its certainly a colour I would only wear on the weekend or for a night out (though I can wear colours to work).

I have never really looked at pinks before I tend to stick with darks or taupe's but I also picked up Barry M Coral (post to come) and No7 in Hot Pink with my £5 off voucher as well recently (post to come). But I actually really love the Barry M colour and I like it on my skin tone which I wouldn't though it would be my sort of colour.

Are you a fan of pinks? Have you tried this Barry M colour?

Thanks

Barry M freebie with Buzz Magazine

Ok so we told you the other day that Buzz Magazine in The Sun (www.twitter.com/TheSun_Buzz) is running a giveaway with Barry M for Valetines day.

Just get your token from instead Buzz and take it along to Superdrug before 18 February to pick up a limited edition Barry M makeup set.

and here it is,
Love the polish - its a red/pink colour, and like with most Barry M nail paints it doesn't have a name. It goes on just like my other Barry M nail paints - 2 coats and its good.

The Black Kohl pencil is ok - I don't use black eyeliner so I can't really say much more than that haha.
LOVE the lipgloss, its such a gorgeous bubblegum pink colour.

Well worth picking up when The Sun only costs 60p.

Barry M Pure Turquoise and Strawberry Ice Cream

On one of my days stuck in the house I decided to re-do my finger and toe nails. I tend to always have a dark polish on my toes and this time I settle on E.L.F Metal Maddess...don't worry I didn't take any feet pictures! But I wasn't sure what to put on my fingers. As I have previously mentioned I tend to wear dark colours on my toes and fingers...all the time! So I went through my nail varnish collection and found these two from Barry M in Pure Turquoise and Strawberry Ice Cream.

I brought them over the summer on a 3 for 2 and so far I have not actually even use them...this happens a lot with me, I will spot a colour I like but as they are bright I tend not to use them.

I have applied 3 coats of each of these with no base or top coat and the finish is alright, definitely better on the Pure Turquoise than the Strawberry Ice Cream. Both the colours would be great in the summer or to cheer up a winters day, but are a bit too pastel for my liking. L is quite happy to wear colours like this and really likes Barry M Berry Ice Cream which you can see here and here.

So I am still undecided and may need to get some more of these pastel shades to try, Barry M does have a great choice which you can see here. But I think I need to find the right shade of pastel/bright varnish for me.

Any recommendations would be great! Do you have any favourites?

Thanks

BarryM Nail Paint in Berry Ice Cream (NOTD)

Ooooooo so I love love love this nail varnish. Seriously. Divine!

It is precisely what I wanted it to be. As I have found with most BarryM nail paint's it needs two coats, but after that you are good. The colour for me is just how you see it in the bottle and even without a top coat it has lasted a couple of days. Very impressive considering these products are such a bargain!!!

Here's a quick swatch pic of it on...
How much do you LOVE it!!! It's sooooooo pretty, by far my most favourite nail varnish of the year. Wearing it ALL the time!
I would seriously recommend it to anyone that wants a proper lilac nail varnish. It doesn't have the pink undertones that all the other ones I have tried have, its a real bluey lilac tone. I can't tell you how much I love this colour! Everyone should have Berry Ice Cream nails, they are just too cute!!!

Lilac Heaven...

So I am seriously loving lilac at the moment. So much so that I have been on the hunt for lippie, eyeshadow and more than anything NAIL VARNISH. But alas, so far my search has been ongoing and the lilac nail varnishes I have purchase are nice, but not lilac (!?). I know!!! So annoying but they are more pink than anything and I have LOADS of pink nail varnishes already....

Anyway I have been lusting after this BarryM's 308 Berry Ice Cream (such a cute name) shade for aaaaaaages now - I've lost count the numerous times I have been into Boots and Superdrug in my small little "city" and seen that the shelves were bare (well of lilac anyway).

But today the sun has shone on me!!!!!! Yes, that's right I have finally found you sweet lilacy friend of mine. Can't wait to try on tonight!! So excited!! And I have already seen it on other girlie's blogs so I know I love the colour already.
I may just to a NOTD post especially though!!

Yay - New York nailvarnish - DONE.
