Tophop Devour

Hey,

We have mentioned Topshop make-up range a few times on here, you can see the previous posts here. And today's post is on a new edition to my Topshop nail polish collection. This is called Devour and in the bottle it looks like a metallic purple, retails at £5.
I loved the shade when I saw it, such a deep purple.

But as you can see from the swatch below it is not as metallic on the nail.

But you still can see the tiny sparkles under the light.

It took 2 coats, they didn't dry particularly quick and I managed to catch my thumb so I now have a small dent in my nail :(. But oh well the colour is beautifully and its a great winter shade. It reminds me a little of ELF Dark Purple Glitter.

I would still like to get Late Show, Daredevil, Jewel in the Crown, Gypsy Night, Utilitarian and Sapphire. You can see the collection here.

What have you tried from Topshop? Any colours I should get in the nail polishes?

Thanks

Liz Earle ...TV?

Well we received an interesting email in our inbox. Liz Earle are branching out and are stepping into the world of TV.
The video channel is available via the lizearle.com. What Liz Earle say themselves about the video channel;
'On Liz Earle TV, the clearly marked videos will highlight the many different aspects of the Liz Earle Beauty Company, from simple guides to the product range, to introductions to each of the company's many knowledgeable and friendly experts.

Our In-house Botanist, Jennifer Hirsch, Treatments Expert, Jo Givens, hair specialist Ian Denson and leading make up artist, Jane Bradley will all share their expert tips and advice.

It will be possible to see where many of the remarkable botanical ingredients used in the range are grown and to get rare glimpses behind the scenes that will show how much care and attention we take to bring you the very best of British beauty.

Liz Earle herself offers her own personal guide to achieving healthy, beautiful skin, combining her years of experience as a researcher, writer, broadcaster and botanical specialist, with her lifelong passion for natural health and wellbeing. Liz will also dispel beauty-myths by providing informed, well researched, considered and balanced viewpoints.'

As the video channel is available 24 hours Liz Earle is hoping it will make the brand more accessible and available. It also provides customers with a click to buy function whilst watching a video.

We think it will certainly help people who are new to the brand to get to know the brand and what they stand for. It will also help to educate shoppers on how to use the products they are purchasing properly.

Why not pop over for a look at lizearle.com.

Thank You

Lip Lusts

Hey,

As you know we love a bargain on here and I have found another great buy! Though this time its thanks to the lovely Makeup Savvy, I had spotted that she mentioned how great the Beauty UK lipglosses were so I had take take a look. I ended up getting Sweet Sixteen, which is a lovely peachy pink shade.
What Beauty UK say,
'Lips, lips, oh luscious lips! Richly pigmented and lightly scented gloss to bring a new dimension to any look. Flavoured with papaya, mint or strawberry and applied with a soft and svelte applicator, everything about this gloss leaves you feeling all warm inside!

We decided on "superfantabulous" as the best overall description :-)'

These retail at around £2.99 and come in 11 shades.

I love the applicator as it allows the gloss to glide on smoothly.
And it smells delicious, not overpowering though just yummy.

My worst nightmare with a gloss is that it will be sticky, but alas this is not the case with this beauty. You don't have to worry about your hair getting stuck once you have applied this gloss.
I love the colour on, as you can see though it does look similar to every other lipgloss I own....I really need to branch out in my lip shades. This is another great buy from Beauty UK, you can see reviews here on other Beauty UK items.

I will be taking a look at some more colours.

Are you a Beauty UK fan?

Thanks
