No7 Stay Perfect Glitter Top Coat in Silver

Today's post is on No7 Stay Perfect Glitter Top Coat in Silver from the new Limited Edition Summer Collection.

Here's what No7 says,

'These No7 Nail Glitter Top Coats will ensure your nails have fun this summer. Worn alone or on top of your favourite summer colour they'll add extra nail power and some much needed sparkle to an old classic.'

I was super excited when I saw this collection especially the nail polishes and lipglosses. As the £5 off No7 vouchers are out again I decided to get the silver glitter top coat first.




Below is a swatch of two coats of the nail polish.

It has small and larger glitter in it, and is such a great top coat. Here is the polish done once over a colour I was already wearing (Ciate Purple Shebert).

This retails for £8.00 (£3.00 with voucher!) and you can get a choice of silver or gold. As I got this with the voucher I think it's great...not sure it's worth £8.90 though!

No7 Stay Perfect Polish in Foxglove

Today I wanted to share with you all my current favourite nail polish. I've been wearing No7 Perfect Polish in Foxglove for a few days now. I know it's spring and I should possibly embrace the pastels and brights, but I just love deep berry colour. Just love any berry shades! It looks so chic once on and seems to compliment my skin tone more than pastels do. I have to admit that I do much prefer darker nails and will probably wear them most of the summer. I think they contrast well with my more neutral spring and summer wardrobe.

(my other polish on rotation is Rimmels Pro Finish in Nightflight)

On to the application. This is actually my first No7 polish, although K has quite a few which you can see here. I found it easy to apply and was than happy with the end result after two coats. My nails were left smooth and glossy. It lasts around 3-4 days before I really notice any tip wear (although when I had it on my toes it lasted a full two weeks without any chips).

Not the cheapest polishes around at £7.00 but they a great purchase to get with your £5.00 No7 voucher when it's available.

Boots No 7 Voucher & Eye Make-up Remover

Well you may have noticed that the Boots £5 No 7 voucher is back, they are running till the 25th March.

So far I have only picked up one thing, I picked up my usual favourite my No 7 Cleanse and Care eye make-up remover. This retails at £7.75 for 100ml so is a bargain with the voucher.

Though when I picked it up this time I noticed it had changed.
As you can see they look quite different. Also the name has changed to Beautiful Skin Eye Make-up Remover, to tie in with the new beauty range.

They bottle has also changed from a pump top to just a normal top. I actually prefer the new top to they old one, as it was always hard to get the last drop out.

From what I can see everything else is the same with it. It still does the job great and I will be stocking whilst the vouchers are still out.

No 7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser

Today's post is on an item I purely picked up as I got 2 items from the new No 7 spring collection and it was 3 for 2. I decided to look at the new Beautiful Skin collection, you can read more here on the range. Its mainly all about allowing busy women solutions to achieving radiant, healthy-looking skin in just two steps. No7 has also colour-coded the packaging, spring green for normal/oily skin, pink for normal/dry skin and lilac for dry/very dry.

I picked the Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser from the range.
Here's what Boots No 7 say,
'The first step to beautiful skin is effective cleansing. Specially formulated to effectively clear away dirt and impurities, No7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser leaves dry complexions feeling as soft and supple as normal skin.

The gel develops into a non-drying oil to protect the skin’s natural moisture levels and hydrate dry areas at the same time. It then changes into a light milk formula for easier rinsing, so skin is left residue-free and totally refreshed. What’s more, it’s enriched with rosehip oil to really lock in moisture and offer a fuss-free approach to truly tailored skincare.'The whole range does have a nice look to the packaging and the colour coding is also a nice touch.

I decided to switch the product into my Skincare routine instead of my cleanse and polish for a week. My routine was then made up of use the Melting Gel, followed by Lush Breath of Fresh Air, followed by some Clinique Moisture Surge.

The product has the gel texture and when you start to rub it in it turns to oil. Once it's rubbed you are then suppose to wash it off. So it's very straight forward to use and has a nice scent.

My main issue with this product is that it started to cause dry patches on my cheeks. I also didn't feel that it removed all my make-up....and I don't wear that much! But I might just be picky as I feel Cleanse and Polish does such a good job at removing my make-up.

I have already had to switch back to my cleanse and polish, as I ended up with quite a few dry patches. This may just be my funny skin as it is quite sensitive and I do struggle to find products that work well.

No 7 Floral Brights Spring Collection

Today's post is on two products from the limited edition No7 Floral Brights collection.
The collection contains the No7 Vital Brightening Eye Palette, No7 Vital Brights Cream Blush, No7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter, No7 Vital Brights Lipstick in Blooming Pink and Blossoming Pink.

Here is what No7 and Lisa Eldridge say about the range,

I choose two items from the range the No7 Vital Brights lipstick in Blooming Pink and Vital Brights Cream Blush in Blossoming Pink.

My first impression of the range was regarding the packaging...its lovely and certainly brightens up my make-up collection! I love that No7 really think through how the packaging looks and not just at the products.

As soon as I saw the blushers I knew I had to get one.

I choose Blooming Pink which is a great fuchsia colour though I would still like to get Blossoming Pink. This a cream to powder formula and blends great, its also very pigmented. These retail at £10.00 which is quite expensive considering that the Topshop cream blusher contains more and retails at £6.00. I do love the blusher but I think Topshop still do the best cream blushers, certainly for the price.

Next I choose the lipstick in blossoming pink.

This is a coolish toned nude with an edge of pink to it. Its a great nude as it doesn't wash you out.

You could certainly say its a my lips but better. This are pigmented but buildable and is really moisturising on the lips...the formula is great.

No7 Blusher Brush

I featured my No7 Face and Body brush on here a couple of weeks ago and I now wanted to show you my other favourite brush from No 7.
This is the No 7 Powder Blush Brush and retails at £11.50. What Boots say,
'The tapered bristles of the No7 blusher brush enables you to shape and colour your cheek area effortlessly'

I like the sleek black handles of No 7 brushes and the choice of brushes available in the range. The brushes are a good size and I like how they label each of the up in gold at the ends.

It has such a great size head that mean placing the blusher is very easy, you can concentrate the blusher exactly where you want it.

I have seen that other people have mentioned that it sheds so far, fingers crossed, mine hasn't yet.

I have just found that this brush really blends my blusher in nicely and I am always happy with the application. As you can see above it is the prefect size for my cheek.

I purchased my brush with the £5 off vouchers so got it for £6.50, I am not sure I would buy these full price. Especially as I have had some decent brushes from E.L.F for cheaper. But when the vouchers are available then I would consider trying some other brushes.

No 7 Ultimate Body and Face Brush

As you maybe aware the No 7 vouchers are back again. These started straight after the previous ones ended on the 11th September and this time they are valid until the 9th October. If you are looking for ideas on what to buy or use it on check out this post.

So in today's post I wanted to feature my favourite No 7 make-up brush, even my mum has it!!!

This is the No 7 Ultimate Body and Face Brush, it retails at £11.00 but with the voucher its a £6. What Boots say,
'No 7 ultimate body and face brush is a super soft and luxurious, multi purpose cosmetic brush.'

I love this brush it is super soft and I use mine to apply my bronzer. It just looks so sleek as well, but I find that with all No 7 beauty products. It perfect to swipe over your face and then over your decolletage.

I just load my brush and swipe across everywhere, it's great.

If you are looking for that perfect face and body brush I would take a look at this little beauty especially if you have a spare voucher.

Mirror Mirror...

Well as you have probably realised both L and myself love a bargain, and with the No7 Boots £5 off voucher being available I have been making the most of them!

My latest purchase from the range is the No7 Make-up Mirror:
I wouldn't have normally purchased this as it is small but with the voucher it cost me £3.25 (normally £8.25). I apply my make-up in the bathroom as I have a big mirror on the wall and the light is better. But I do like to have a portable mirror to hand.

The stand on the mirror adjustable and its compact, but too big to just have in your hand bag. But it would make a great travel mirror to stick in my make-up bag. It also has a felt/material backing thus making it non-slip.

Overall I am pleased with me purchase its compact, sleek looking and you can adjust the standing position. For £3.25 I thought this was great!

No 7 Voucher...it's back

Just a little heads up the No7 Boots vouchers are back, I've already used my first one up! (Excuse the old image I didn't have a voucher to take a picture of).

No7 Cleanse & Care Eye Make-up Remover

As you may remember I did a post back at the beginning of April called the Battle of the Eye Make-up Removers, I mentioned that I hadn't tried the No7 Eye Make-up remover. Well as the No7 £5 off vouchers are back I purchased one to try...I have since gone back to Boots and got another two...oops!
I my previous posts on the eye make-up I had I said that my favourite was the Bourjois one. It was only £4.99, only took a couple of swipes at most to remove my eye make-up and it didn't make my eyes sore, therefore all good. I hadn't got around to repurchasing as I had to use up all the the different ones I had first. Luckily though the No7 voucher was re-released meaning I could pick up the eye make-up remover for a bargain and give it a good go.

This retails at £7.75 for 100ml (£2.75 with voucher a bargain), the bottle is a pump top (I use two to 3 pumps around a cotton pad). This has a nice subtle odour and leaves my eye area nice and soft, and I don't get sore eyes (a problem for me with most removers). It states that it is for all skin types and is hypo-allergenic.

The images that are below show how well it removes eye make-up, I have tested it on an eye liner and masacara then swipes the eye make-up remover over my hand once.

As you can see gthe results are great!

This is definitley on par with the Bourjois one and as I can currently purchase it with the voucher it may now be my go-to eye make-up remover of choice! Have you tried it?

The Return of....

Well girlies it's that time again!

Yes the No 7 £5 off Voucher is back, I got mine yesterday and its valid until the 19th June 2011. I have actually been waiting for this to come back out as I have a couple of items that I really want to pick up!
I have already used one as these came back at the right time for me as my No7 Lift & Luminate foundation had just run out! This is now my favourite foundation and uncharacteristically for me its a re-purchase, I will do a full post on it shortly. But it is £15.50 (£10.50 with voucher) and come in around 6 or 7 shades, you can see it here.

No 7 was never a range that I was drawn to, I always thought it was more of a mature range. But these vouchers have meant I have tried more of their products and though I am not a fan of their skincare there are items that are good from the make-up and accessories ranges. The range of make-up brushes are good and work out to good prices with the voucher. Also their nail polish may not be the best around but for £2 with the voucher I quite like to pick them up. But I have 3 favourite finds from the range which are are the Sheer Temptation Lipsticks (I love mine), Lift & Luminate Foundation (a high street brand that does my shade) and my Intense Volume Mascara in Brown.

Violets are Blue...

I have been looking to buy lots of lovely citrus and bright colours recently when looking at nail polishes. But when I was organising my nail polish into its new storage this morning I found this colour, that I completely forgot I had. I have now popped this onto me toes and I quite like it, I have just included a fake nail swatch though as no-one likes feet/toes pictures.

Its No7 Speed Dry in Violetta that retail at £7 and the choice of other colours available can be seen here. The image has made this polish look a lot more than it is, it does have a great purple tint to it as well. I actually got mine when I had the £5 off No7 Voucher, so its only makes it £2. So for £2 I don't mind the no7 Vouchers but I would never pay full price for these nail polishes as there are far better, cheaper polishes out on the market.

More No7 Nails

Hey,

I just wanted to show you two more nail polishes I have picked up from the No7 Range. I have ended up buying some more as I still had some of the £5 off vouchers left (they are valid till the 27th March).

The two I got are Betty Blues from the Stay Prefect range (you can see more here) and Hot Pink from the Speed Dry Range (you can see more here).

Now I don't think I would ever pay the full price of these nail polishes which is £7 but as these work out to £2 with the voucher I don't mind picking them up. You can see my other shades here, which are in Beanie, Damson Dream and Totally Teal . I still quite fancy picking up Violetta from the Speed Dry range but other than that I am not sure I fancy any other shades. Though they do have some other great bright shades Pink Grapefruit, Salsa, Vivid Violet, Cherry Tang, Coral Kiss, and Poolside Blue.

Now when No7 were running their £5 off vouchers I ended up buying quite a few bits from the range. I mentioned a couple of purchases previously here. But I then went and got some more bits...oops!

I had seen Beanie mentioned on a couple of Blogs and instantly knew I would love it. It is from the Speed Dry range and cost me £2 (normally £7) with the voucher. I really like this nail polish, the colour is great and it does dry quicker than my other no7 nail polishes, check out the range here.

The second polish I got is Damson Dream, I fell for this colour as soon as I saw it! I LOVE it! I really like how these polishes apply (no streaks) and last on my nails. My only issue with them is that you really need to make sure you have removed any excess from the brush, I had a drip problem when applying Beanie. But other than that I would get some more when the vouchers are back.

As I have previously mentioned in my Mascara SOS post I am on a hunt for a new one and with having the vouchers it worked out to £6.50 (normally £11.50). ShimmerDreamz commented that I should give the No7 Mascara a go especially as I had a voucher.

I decided on the Intense Volume Mascara purely as that was the only one they did in Brown (all the others were Brown/Black - which is too dark for me). So far I am liking the Mascara, I wouldn't say I notice the intense volume but it does separate my lashes and doesn't clump or make my eyelashes feel heavy. I will update as I continue to use it.


Boots are now doing a £5 off ladies face care voucher, so far I haven't used this yet and I'm not sure what to get with it. The voucher is valid to 22nd February and can be redeemed against - L'Oreal (Revitalift, Derma Genesis, Wrinkle Decrease Collagen, age Perfect, Age Re-Perfect),, Olay (Regenerist, Definity, Total Effects Facial), Sanctuary Spa Facial skincare, Time Delay, Dr Nick Lowe, RoC (Complete Lift, Hdyra+, Multi Correction, Retino, Wrinkle Correction), Good Skin Labs. No7 Spring Collection and LOTD ft Grace

Just a quick post on a new lippie I've got from the Boots No7 Spring 2011 Collection. Now I know you have all probably seen some posts on this range but I mainly wanted to show you one of the lipstick in Grace.

For those who don't know Boots No7 has launched a limited edition spring collection consisting of 2 lipsticks in Grace and Brigette, 2 nail polishes in Sugar and Spice, an Exquisite Curl Mascara, a Spring Collection Eye Palette and gel liners in Turquoise, Black and Blue. I have to say I really want the two nail polishes and the blue gel liner now!

Also Boots are currently running a 3 for 2 on their range, so its the prefect time to take a look.

My first impressions of the range is that I love the packaging, it just looks soooo gorgeous. The lipsticks are still £10, which isn't overly expensive but I never feel No7 lipsticks are worth that price tag. However this lippie is far removed from its counterparts in the standard collection.

The lipstick itself applies easily and is really moisturising on your lips (usually a common issue with the normal No7 lippies, is that they can be drying on the lips).

I choose Grace from the range as I was not sure about Brigette, its not a colour I would normally choose. This colour is a lovely warm nude/coral/pink (I am rubbish with colours!!!) and fits perfectly into my collection - all my lipsticks look the same colour! This will be great for work and everyday usage.
