Orly Electronica in Shockwave

Today's post is a nail of the day featuring Orly's new Electronica collection.

The shades from left to right are:
Decoded: Slate grey creme
Preamp: Girly pink with gold shimmer
Shockwave: Royal blue creme
Syncho: Duochrome pink/gold

I have swatches Sockwave below.
Again this applied great and I love the handle on Orly nail polishes, it also dried quick which is another bonus. I love the formula and finsh of Orly, they are fantastic. I am becoming quite a fan, especially as I can get the mini nail polishes to £5 in my local Boots.

I am just not convinced I like the colour on my skin tone but I could see this suiting so many other skin tones. I am just a bit too pale! I have seen other images where this looks more Royal Blue but on me and the photos I took it seems more inky which is probably why it doesn't suit me.

Another great collection!

These are currently available from Beauty Bay for £7.95 or £12.95 for a mini 4 pack.

What do you think? Are you an Orly fan?

Orly launching in Topshop this month

So this month Orly will be launching in Topshop with their Mini Feel the Vibe Trio which retails for £13.00 for 3 x 5.3ml polishes.  The set features this summers Neon Trend with a stunning bright Pink (Beach Cruiser), a flouroscent green (Glow Stick - very approriate name!) and a vibrant orange (Melt your Popsicle).

I love Orly polishes and you can see our previous posts here, and these are no exception.  I love the whole Neon trend but other than possibly trying out a few accessories I'm a bit too much of a wimp to try anything else, so these would be perfect.  I so need Beach Cruiser!

Orly Faint of Heart

Today's post is on Orly Faint of Heart which is from the new Orly Cool Romance Collection.  K's previously shown you Steel your Heart and Robo Romance.

The colour was perfect for me.  It's a gorgeous dirty beige/grey that is my favourite type of colour to see me through the summer - I'm just obsessed with these types of colour.  I was really impressed with the polish, which applies easily and produces a lovely end result, with two coats.  I'm also really impressed with the handle on the brush.  It's rubber which means that it's much less likely to slip out of your hands whilst applying.

I'm actually in love with the whole collection and now need to get You're Blushing and Artificial Sweetener

These are priced at £9.25 for 18ml at http://www.lookfantastic.com/ and £13 at www.boots.com for the 5.3ml Mani Mini Trio.  They're also £5 for the mini's in Boots.

Orly Robo Romance

Today's post is a NOTD featuring Orly's Robo Romance.  After trying out Orly Steel your Heart I was excited to try another shade.  I popped along to my local Boot's and picked up a mini polish for £5.

Robo Romance is a sheer pink polish with a hint of holographic sparkle (very slight).  The polish is very sheer so I decided to layer 3 coats over a very pale nude/pink.  But as you can see its still very sheer.  Though this still makes a lovely day time nail or would be a lovely bridal nail.  I am going to try this over a more pale barbie pink next time!

The bottle has the gripper cap the same as the normal size bottle though I didn't feel this had as much grip as the normal bottle.  But these are such a great feature!

What do you think?

Are you an Orly fan? Whats your favourite shade?

 Thanks

Orly Steel Your Heart

Hey,

Today's post is on the Spring Collection from Orly...Cool Romance.
Here's what Orly say about the range,
'Fall in love all over again with ORLY’s new ‘Cool Romance’ collection.  These delicate pastel crème colours will seamlessly steer you from winter to spring, warming the days as we gradually wind out of winter.   Whilst you might not be ready to go all out with summer’s fluoro, eye popping paints just yet, Cool Romance offers splashes of delicate, sophisticated hues to portray the fresh romanticism of young love with a sleek sensibility that’s all grown up.

You’re Blushing is enough to make anyone flush in this muted lilac crème
No first date is complete without Prelude to a Kiss, a dainty dusky pink
Stand out from the crowd and get his attention with a little help from Jealous, Much?
A layer of Faint of Heart will give you the confidence to seduce any man with this soft grey crème
Seal the deal with Steel Your Heart to ensure he’s not going anywhere
Be the apple of his eye with Artificial Sweetener'

I was lucky enough to be sent Orly Steel your Heart to review.

This is my first Orly nail polish, I have always taken a look at there polishes but I have never actually picked one up.  And the first thing I will say here is I will be looking in my Boots tomorrow at the mini 5.4ml bottles they stock for £5.  The first thing that caught my attention about the polish was the brush handle.  Its amazing, it gives amazing grip...for this alone I would repurchase.  I have never used a nail polish with this sort of handle.

The polish is a lovely steel metallic shade and applied like a dream in two coats and dries very quick.  I am not completely sure this shade fits into the collection that well.  The other colours seem to tie in with each other but this is quite different.  .The colour isn't very spring (it probably suits the April showers) but is completely my shade...I love it.  I am desperate to pick up You're Blushing now.

These are priced at £9.25 for 18ml at http://www.lookfantastic.com/ and 5.3ml Mani Mini Trio for £13 at www.boots.com.

What do you think? Are you an Orly fan? Are there other shades I should look at?

Thanks

Possible wedding nail polish...

Orly Nail Polish in Je T'aime

It's a lovely pale pink and perfect for a wedding polish. It's part of the Petite French range and I picked it up from Boots for £5.00 for a 5ml bottle.

It took 3 coats and it still wasn't fully opaque which I kinda liked but I just wasn't sure about the end colour. It's very pretty but just not really me. I'm not great with pale pinks.

This is my first Orly polish and I was impressed with the finish, which was nice and streak free which is great especially as it's not opaque.

Overall its a nice polish, just not for me. I'm still on the search for a wedding day polish!
