How to look the best at everything....

Benefit have an amazing range of box sets and this is no different.  The Flawless Complexion kit is fantastic idea for someone who wants to sample the range or as a gift for some.  With the sample sizes include you get a great look at the Porefessional and the Oxygen Wow Foundation, as well the Boi-ing Concealer.  The set also includes tips and tricks for using the products to perfection to obtain that flawless look.  The sets come in either Light, Medium or Deep and the concealers and foundations reflect this.  Now to add that I love the concealer and they're definitely one of my favourite under eye concealers, so for me this is a great addition to the set and I love the fact that they've included the two shades.

The Light Set includes the "Cheers to me" Champagne Foundation, Boi-ing Concealer in 01 and 02.
The Medium Set includes the "I'm so money" Honey Foundation, Boi-ing Concealer in 02 and 03.
The Deep Set includes the "I'm so glamber"Amber Foundation, Boi-ing Concealer in 04 and 05.

Personally being a fair skin girl I have to admit that the foundation is far to dark for me in the Light set as there is actually two Ivory shades below this and I'm the palest.  The Champagne is more of a yellow based foundation then the two Ivory shades- so bare that in mind if purchasing for a paler girl.

Despite this for £24.50 is a great set for trying out the products.

Feeling Dandy....

K previously showed you the Sugarlicious set and up today is the Feeling Dandy set - Perk me up...Lip and Cheek tint.  First off the Dandelion Box powder is my favorite from Benefit.  It was the first I discovered and it great when you need a pick me up.  I can apply all over or just over the top of my cheeks to brighten my complexion through the day.

What Benefit says about the set,
"Perk up with our "pink-me-ups" for a radiantly pretty look.  Our pocket-sized lip & cheek kit includes an iconic tint award-winning cheek colour luscious lip gloss and sexy highlighter so you can add a pop of colour to your look....morning, noon or night"
The set includes:

  • Posietint - a poppy/pink tinted lip & cheek stain
  • High Beam - luminescent complexion enhancer
  • Dandelion - a brightening face powder
  • Ultra plush dandelion lip gloss

The gloss is the only thing I haven't had a go with before.  It's a lot more coral based than the Dandelion powder, but works well as an everyday gloss.

The sets are £24.00 from Benefit Stores, counters and online.

Benefit Sugarlicious

Benefit Cosmetics always seem to get the products and specially their gift sets perfect and this is another great buy. Both L and myself are massive fans of Benefits products and you can see our other posts here.

Here's what Benefit say about Sugarlicious,
'Go deliciously nude…sweet & soft shades for a fresh, natural-looking glow. Our pocket-size lip & cheek kit includes an iconic tint, award-winning cheek color, luscious lip gloss and sexy highlighter so you can add a pop of color to your look…morning, noon or night.'
The set includes:
  • Benetint - rose tinted lip & cheek stain
  • High Beam - luminescent complexion enhancer
  • Sugar bomb 'sugar rush flush' face powder
  • Ultra plush sugar bomb lip gloss
As well as the above you also get a mirror in the top and a step by step guide of how you can apply it all.
I had not tried sugar bomb and I have to say it is lovely but it still won't beat my Bella Bamba, but the lip gloss version of the shade is such a great easy to wear colour.

The set retails for £24.50 from Benefit stores, counters or online.

Thanks

Kit includes:
-Canopy eyeshadow
-purple haze eyeshadow
-spiced eyeshadow
-foiled - creaseless cream shadow/liner
- flash - creaseless cream shadow/liner
- step by step lesson.'

The Eye Wanna! set is from the Maggie Collection and again retails at £28.50. Here's what Benefit say:
'Eye Wanna! is for gals who have it all - and wanna shimmy all nigh long! With eyeshadows in all shades of fabulosity my kit will take you from work mode too party status in the blink of an eye. Go ahead, get noticed and steal the scene!
Kit Includes:

Benefit Life on the A List & Mod Squad

I was lucky enough to receive some Debenhams give cards for my birthday. I had a couple of items that I brought straight away but I had £30 left and I wasn't sure what to get. In the end it was Benefit that caught my eye and I decide to get a Ultra Shine Lipgloss and a Lipstick.

Firstly how cute is the packaging!!!
I love the extra effort Benefit but into their products from the names to the packaging, they really make an effort. The colours I got were Mod Squad full finish lipstick and Life on the A List Ultra Shine lipgloss.

Mod Squad is a full finish lipstick that retails at £14.00 for 3g. What Benefit say about their full finish lipsticks;

' Your search for the perfect lipstick is over! From naughty nudes to red carpet reds, these rich, seductive full-finish lipsticks give you the coverage and color you've been longing for.'

You can see more about them here and see the 18 other shades available. Mod Squad itself is a nude blue toned pale pink. It is quite difficult to wear but I do love the colour.

The Ultra Shine lipgloss in Life on the A List is gorgeous, L is a fan of this shade as well. The Ultra Shine retails at £14.00 and comes in 12 shades, which you can see here. What Benefit says;

'Our dazzling new lip glosses drench your lips in brilliant shine and a burst of juicy color that's NEVER sticky. Now's the time...load up on shine!'

This gloss applies lovely and isn't sticky (a big plus for me). The colour itself is described as bubblegum pink but I would say its more pinky peachy nude. Its very wearable daytime shade. I know some people do not like glosses with a scent and this does have a fruity aroma (sort of peachy).

You can see a swatch of both below Mod Squad on the left and Life on the A List on the right.

In the lip swatch below this is the two on together which has become a fave everyday lip for me!

Are you a fan of Benefit lip products? Whats your favourite?

Thanks

Birthday Suit

I love Benefit and tried a lot of their products over the years, however I've never tried any of the eye shadows before despite always looking at them.

I've eventually taken the plunge with one of the Creaseless Cream Shadows.

It's such a gorgeous golden/bronze shade - I've noticed that I'm moving more towards these shades recently.

As the eye shadow itself - it blends in easily and I can honestly say I've not noticed any creasing, so in so far as saying it's creaseless, I'd say it is. I know from other reviews that some people do suffer problems with creasing but it stays put very well on me.

It's great as a base or to use just on it's own.

Mini Shopping Haul

Just a quick post on a few bits I picked up in Chester on Friday morning. I still had a £25 Debenhams gift voucher left over from my Birthday, so as I was out and about I thought I would treat myself to a few bits.

In the end I picked up a Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit and a MAC Lipglass from the new collection MAC Me Over in Curvaceous.

And as an extra perk I managed to get a sample of the new Matchmaster Foundation in Shade 1.0.

I'll put some swatches up in the week.

They're Real and Ring my Bella

Last week we had the opportunity to go along to Benefit in Spitalfields for a preview of They're Real Mascara. We previously told you about the Flash Sale that Benefit was hosting and give you a quick look at the Mascara. Well tomorrow, the Mascara launches nationwide.

As usual Benefit host a great event and we were treated to a Burlesque Routine.

Not only we're we having a look at They're Real Mascara, Benefit also wanted to talk about their newest addition to their Crescent Row - Ring my Bella.

We were also treated to some yummy cocktails,

There was also a lot of makeup artists on hand to help you with the products. K took advantage and had her makeup done and tried out Cha Cha Tint which looked fab on her.

We were given both They're Real Mascara and Ring my Bella to try out.

I love the newest addition to the range, it's very floral and like nothing I've smelt before - it's lovely.

How pretty is the box and the bottle.

Another 2 great products to the Benefit collection.
