January Glossy Box - Detox Edition

Here is this months Glossy Box, which is the Detox Edition - so prefect after the Christmas binge! As usual the box has different options that could be included but below you can see what I had.

There is Sanctuary Spa Active Thermal Transformation Mask (full size £27.50)as Glossy box say, 'This mask is soothing to use and its results are instantly visible. It has 'detox' written all over it. If you are looking to dramatically improve the appearance of your skin without cosmetic injections, this intensely warming 2 step mask is for you. While results are instant, it is after 4 weeks of use that Invisible firms and refines to reveal smoother, glowing, more even skin and minimised fine lines and wrinkles.' I can't wait to try this out.

Next up there is Monu Renu Flash Relax mask (full size £32) 'a one-stop product for an instant detox effect, the Renu Flash Relax Mask provides an immediate boost for your skin. Ginseng and magnesium relax fine lines, while vitamins C and B5 enchanted natural radiance, while promoting the skins moisture balance. The best part: it's paraben free formulation means it is suited for even the most sensitive skin.' Another great sounding product and I love that its suitable for sensitive skin.

Vichy Normaderm 3in1 Cleanser (full size £11) 'Regulate your complexion with the Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser, Scrub and Mask, an all-in-one solution for oily skin.  When skin produces too much oil and becomes overburdened, clogged and imperfection-prone, it needs gentle care to make it feel fresh and comfortable again. The Normaderm 3-in-1 combined cleanse, scrub and mask action is made up of ultra soothing agents and deeply clarifying clay, making it perfect for even sensitive complexions.
The Normaderm cleansing cream reduces the appearance of imperfections, clears impurities and eliminates excess sebum.'

Premae Skincare Balance Rescue Face Tonique (full £27.50) 'A refreshing face toner for combination skin, this mattiifies and rejuvenated congested skin. With antiseptic lemongrass and sandalwood oil as well as hydrating rose water, this alcohol free, fragrance free solution will cut through dirt and excess oil to close pores without stripping skin of its natural oils, leaving your skin feeling fresh and plump.' I am looking forward to trying this as it sounds like it would be lovely on my sensitive skin.

Finally there is a Jason Lips Bee Healthier lip balm (£1.99) an a Glossy Box eye mask

Again this months box contains five samples to try as well as the eye mask. Though I am excited to try these out I was disappointed as my products were all covered in black bits off the packaging that is in the box.

I do get really excited about opening my glossy box each month to see what I get. But we both are a bit disheartened with them at the moment as you expect it to be high end products to try - yet the lip balm is £1.99 and I buy Vichy anyway. I think we both expect it to introduce you to products that are firstly new or high end. Though we both have found one or two products we love from the boxes, neither of us have repurchased anything yet.

Glossy Box is £10 a month plus p+p and is available at www.glossybox.co.uk.

Thanks

Glossybox's Anniversary

So this month GlossyBox are celebrating their First Birthday and included within this months box, along with the usual 5 beauty products is a lovely compact mirror and a bright pink balloon.

So onto the beauty products in this months box (oh and as usual the boxes contents to do vary slightly from box to box).

1. Osmo Berber Oil Hair Treatment
2. Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel.
3. Apivata Beauty Masks
4. HD Brow Brow Beater
5. Lolita Lempicka - Lolita Eau de Parfum and L'Eau en Blanc

The products I liked this month

Firstly I've got to say that I know a lot of people maybe disappointed with perfume samples but I actually really like getting them. I love trying a new fragrances and both of these are lovely.  I've worn the L'Eau en Blanc to work the last few days and got a lot of compliments - so bonus.

The HD Brow Brow Beater is a great product and actually the full sized one this month. I have to say I would have loved to try the Grow Baby Grow that some people received, but this has been great to tame and set my brows once I've filled them in.  It's already made it's way into my everyday makeup bag.

Nest up is the Osmo Berber Oil - Hair Treatment. I love products like this - given my dry, frizzy hair, so this is a lovely treat.  I've used the Moroccanoil on my hair for a while so we'll see how this compares.

Finally the let downs -  now this sounds harsh and I don't really mean lets downs but they're just not really products that excited me. In respect of the Noble Isle Bath and Shower Gel, it just isn't the type of products I use (I'm not dirty but I usually have an allergic reaction to most Bath and Shower Gels so tend to stick with the tried and tested), although it will be used up by the household.  Now I will give the Apivita Beauty Masks a go but I think that these are the type of product that is easy to pick up on the high street and for £3.50 full sized, would not really break the bank to try out yourself.

Despite the few niggles with some of the products I'm once again happy with the box as obviously the cannot please everyone and there is a lot that I like - the full size HD Brow products is £29.95 to buy so you've already saved.

Glossy Box April

Today's post on on the Glossy Box for April. (This post is picture heavy)

Firstly I just wanted to give you a little bit of information on what Glossy Box is. Neither myself or L have tried this version or any of the others before. With Glossy Box you subscribe to a monthly box subscription that contains 5 luxury products - usually miniatures from high end brands. You can even fill in your own Beauty Profile to ensure products complement your beauty and styling requirements. You get all of this for £10.00 a month plus £2.95 p&p, you can get more information here.

So onto April's box. This month the box has a natural theme, the box itself is 100% biodegradable and contains ethical products to satisfy your green goddess needs.
The box contains:
Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum
Inika Cosmetics Certified Organic Lip Liner in Moroccan Rose
Ayuuri Natural Body Wash in Neem
Figs & Rouge Lip Balm in Rambling Rose
Philip B Drop Dead Straightening Balm
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the box. The products are really nice sized samples (though some are full size...bonus!). There were two items that instantly grabbed my attention the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum and the Figs & Rouge Lip Balm (mainly as the packaging is so cute)

I don't feel I will get much use out of the lip liner as the shade is just not right for me...its a tad metallic as well which I don't like for a lip liner. I don't think I will get much use out of the body wash either as its not a scent I use but my Husband seems to quite like it as its really refreshing.

All in all I was really happy with my Glossy Box and can see why this has become so popular. Its a fantastic way to try out new brands and products without forking out the money on a full sized product first of all. I also like that not everyone's box will be identical so take this month some people got a Burts Bees Body Lotion instead of the Ayuuri Body Wash etc. The price is also reasonable, though I think I would end up with even more beauty products...which my Husband wouldn't like!

Though I do have one concern. I know it states that you can set your beauty preference but I have extremely pale skin which is very sensitive. I would be worried that not all the products would be suitable each month.

Are you a Glossy Box fan? Or is there another box to look at?

Thank you
