Dirty Works Brightening Mask

Today's post is on Dirty Works Vitamin C Brightening Face Mask.

'Give skin one of its 5-a-day with NEW Dirty Works Vitamin C Brightening Mask
Skin feeling dull and in need of a little lift? Start now to get your skin glowing again for summer, with the NEW Vitamin C Brightening Mask (£4.99, 100ml).

A powerful mix of this year’s beauty hero, Vitamin C, and nature’s best-kept beauty secrets will give your skin the boost it needs in a matter of minutes.

* Vitamin C: Helps with the production of collagen, the growth of cells and blood vessels and gives skin its firmness and strength.
* Kaolin: Known to draw out impurities and toxins, clearing the skin of excess oil, dirt and pollutions.
* Goji Extract: Known for its natural soothing and moisturising benefits.
* Pomegranate: Rich in anti-oxidants and Vitamin C, this helps the skin repair and regenerate, while slowing down the signs of ageing.
To use, apply a generous layer onto damp skin and spend some time massaging into skin, paying particular attention to forehead, nose and chin. Leave for 5-10 minutes and remove with warm water.'

Now the first time I tried this out I was full of a cold and my skin looked dull and greyish...all in all I looked awful. So I thought hey why not test out a face mask that says it can fix this. And do you know what I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome! My skin looked refreshed and I did not look at ill as I felt.

The mask itself it easy to apply and doesn't have a strong scent (I really can't stand having a strong smelling face mask), but you get the Vitamin C scent like the fizzy tablets I was taking. The texture is actually a little lumpy which was odd as I felt I should really massage it in more than leave it on my face (the instruction do tell you to massage in first). I left it on and then removed with warm water. My skin felt great! This is now part of my Sunday night routine, especially as I have had no breakouts or reactions (my sensitive skin doesn't normally get on with masks). It has removed the rubbish dry layer I had due to being unwell and left my skin feeling supple and soft.

This does exactly what it says on the tin and is kind to sensitive skin, I would really recommend taking a look. It is available in-store at Sainsbury's from the 10th March and retails at £4.99 for 100ml.

Thanks

  1. Don't you love clumpy masks? The thicker the better. I have a feeling I would like this.

  2. I have never heard of this brand before but it sounds like a great product. I think this is perfect me because I'm sick with a cold as well and my skin is not looking at its best.
