Bourjois 10hr Sleep Effect

So I purchased this quite sometime ago, but never really got around to using it. Btu after seeing a few good reviews about it recently I thought I'd get it out and give it a proper go.

Been using it constantly since

I picked mine up in Abricote Clair number 71 from Boots for £8.99 - although showing on Boots website as £9.49 at the mo.

OMG how badly has the label worn!

So Bourjois say that,

'this is an anti-fatigue foundation which conceals all signs of fatigue thanks to a formula enriched with a high concentration of vitamins E, F, B5 and minerals'

'dark circles, skin imperfections and a dull complexion are replaced with an even and rested complexion'

Have to admit that this does describe the perfect foundation for me.

The foundation itself has quite a thin texture and blends in really easily. I actually apply mine with a foundation brush at the moment, but I do sometimes use either my fingers or my Cosmo blend perfection sponge.

For me this has a more light to medium-ish coverage - which is perfect with summer approaching. I think it gives a nice natural, even finish, which for someone who has alot of freckles is great. It hides any redness around my nose, but doesn't cover all my freckles which can tend to make it look as though I'm caked in makeup.

I LOVE the finish I get. Very natural. And when you're getting up at 6.15am every morning for work, it really does help to have a foundation that just perks up you and helps to hide the dark circles. Also wearing:

  • Benefits Erase Paste in No 1 Fair

  • Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-1

  • First Light Cosmetics Perfect Finish in Air Kiss

  • Benefit Benetint

  • Collection 2000 Blush in Bashful

  • Accessorize Bronzer in Golden Sands

  • Natural Collection Waterguard Mascara in Brown Black

  • Dior Lip Polish in Fresh Expert No2

  1. Aw this foundation brings back memories for me! I used it when I lived in Denmark and it was the only foundation I could read the label of :-D Good times!

I remember it being a bit too oily for my skin though! Maybe the formula has changed! :-) xxx

  4. @meredith - I find that MAC is slightly too dark for me (actually this bourjois one looks too dark by blends in well) and not sure what shade I am in MUFE sorry - the one I have is too pinkie!
