Phone Cover Crazy

So I've recently gone a bit iPhone cover crazy as the picture above suggests (although I've got a few extra coming in the post) and I wanted to share this craziness with you.  Whats's even worse is that I have even more in a box under my bed!  I've had Most of my purchases are from ebay, although I've got a couple thrown in from TK Maxx and Asda.  I think my phone may be more fashionable than me at the moment.

Hello Kitty Bumper - £1.99 purchased from here.
Stud Cases £3.58 and both can be purchased here.

Lego Cover - £2.74 from here.
Fizz Wiz Candy was a Christmas present off my sister and looks like it cost around £6.99 from here.
Melting Ice Cream - £1.32 from here.

Finally the floral one is from George at Asda and cost £8 and the Gorgeous Ted Baker one costs £7.99 from TK Maxx.

Despite the massive selection I'm loving the Kitty one - it's so cute!

Anyone else as addicted to phone covers or got any suggestions for some more!

Herbally Ever After...and an amazing giveaway!

So in 2012, Herbal Essences turned 40!  To celebrate Herbal Essences took to Facebook to ask fans to vote for on a name for their celebratory collection - and the winner was......Herbally Ever After! Such a cute name.

It's packaged beautifully in a limited edition design and the range is targeted as Breakage Defender - to help prevented combing damage.  Definitely a plus for anyone with thick, naturally curly/wavy hair like me!  Herbal Essences state that 'the result should be soft, replenished, stronger-looking, gorgeous birthday-worthy hair'.  The back of the packages gives some tips on how to achieve this. Finally I have to say that the scent is gorgeous but when isn't it.

Now to continue it's celebration Herbal Essences have re-invented some of their old favourites and added to  some new products to the ranges as well.  I have to say over the years I have used a few different ranges given my hair type and I tend vary and mix between them:

*Hello Hydration - Hawaiian coconut and orchid flower
Beautiful Ends – red raspberry and silk extracts

Tousle Me Softly - Wild Violet and juicy Pomegranate fragrance
*Seductively Straight - Pink Lily and Asian Silk
Smooth & Soft - Mandarin and Pearl Extracts

*must haves for the frizzy, curly girls out there
Absolutely love the scent of the Beautiful Ends and it's definitely my favourite of the collection.
Finally to include everyone in their continued birthday celebrations there are running a competition with some fantastic prizes:
1st Prize- Cut & Blow Dry with Ben Cooke, Herbal’s celeb stylist, at Lockonego Salon (worth c. £300) in Central London
·         2nd Prize- a year’s supply of Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner
·         3RD Prize- a Herbal Essences Hamper

·     To be in with a chance of winning Herbal Essences want you to think about your favourite ranges or scents or memories of Herbal Essences.
Now my memory of Herbal Essences is definitely their 90's advert - The Yes,Yes, Yes waterfall one!  This has actually been updated recently to include the fairy tale theme and you can check it out below.

Oh and when we were younger I remember that my little sister used to be obsessed with sniffing the shampoos and conditioners in the supermarket - especially Herbal Essences, and managed squirt the Herbal Essences one up her nose.

Anyway to be in with a chance of winning, include your favourite memory/scent/range along with a contact email address below!

Competition open till 13th March 2013.

Good luck!

LP Skin Therapy Anti-ageing Starter Kit

Today's post is on LP Skin Therapy Anti-Ageing Starter Kit from Linda Dr. Linda Papadopoulos PhD. Here is more information on the range,

'LP Skin Therapy is a scientifically advanced skincare collection designed to help skin look rested, youthful, healthy and vibrant no matter what life throws at you.

Designed to treat skin holistically, LP Skin Therapy works on tackling not just the external factors of prematurely ageing skin (sun, pollution) but also the internal factors, namely stress.

LP Skin Therapy uses unique ingredients known as nootropics which have a positive effect on the mind and a calming effect on the skin whilst actives, peptides and other hard working ingredients help in the fight against ageing. Fragrances from Dr. Linda's homeland of Cyprus such as orange blossom, pomegrante and lemon oil are included to uplift, energise and relax.

Dr. Linda encourages us to focus on the smells, textures and way your skin feels when using the range. By doing this, you will be sensitising not only your skin, but your mind too and making the most of the vitamins and nutrients packed into the products you use.
Dr. Linda's philosophy is that happier skin is healthier skin.'

Six-piece LP Skin Terapy Anti Ageing kit contains the following and will last for three weeks:

1 x System Balance Face Wash (30ml)
1 x Uplifting Facial Water (50ml)
1 x Multi-Task Day Cream (15ml)
1 x Overnight Replenish Cream (15ml)
1 x Re-Affirm Eye Serum (5ml)
1 x Untired Eye Cream (5ml)
1 x purple wash bag

My first impression was how lovely the product looks, the purple finish make it look great. The next thing I do when I get a new product to review is have a smell and again these are lovely and refreshing, it made me instantly want to give the range a go.

The Overnight Replenish Cream has a slight gel texture to it which you don't normally get in a night cream, and I love it. It feels refreshing and lovely on your skin and absorbs quickly.

The Uplifting Facial Water, now I do not use facial waters and don't really get the whole facial spitz thing. But this again is very nice and refreshing, and I have been spritzing it onto a cotton wool pad to apply.

You have System balance face wash, I haven't actually tried this (my skin is a little funny with face washes). But again the scent is refreshing but I am unsure how a face wash can be anti-ageing.

My lips are awful and get dry really quickly so the Refining Lip Exfoliator. You gently massage it on your lips for 39 seconds and then remove the residue. I love love love this! You lips feel gorgeous after.

Multi tasking day cream, this melts into your skin and again has a light but refreshing scent. Normally when I switch moisturisers my skin breaks out but so far so good.

Finally you have the re-affirming eye serum, when you apply this serum it feels like it is doing something. It makes your eye area feel refreshed.

Overall the range is relaxing and refreshing, and this set is well worth a try for around £25.

Dr. Linda will be presenting her LP Skin Therapy Anti-Ageing Starter Kit on QVC on the 28th February on Alison Young’s Beauty Fix.

Thanks

More bargains...Frontcover eyeshadows

Another post on a bargain purchase that I recently got from a trip to Boots. A Frontcover Pop in Pop out compact and 4 shadows.

I spotted them on a bargain bucket style shelf, they had lots of compacts but the choice of eye shadows wasn't massive. There was mostly blues and greens, but luckily I managed to get two silvers and two gold shades.

The palette was priced at a £1.25 with the eyeshadow at 75p which would have been a bargain. As the full price should have been £5 for the compact and £4 for the eyeshadows. So massive savings already. But I only paid 25p a eyeshadow and 75p for the compact! I picked this up about 3 weeks ago, and I'm unsure whether it is still available.

As the name suggests the eye shadows just pop in and out so you could chop and change etc (I obviously cannot get anymore at the mo).

All in all I am really pleased with this purchase and I love a bargain. What has been you best Jan bargain?

Thanks

Marks and Spencer's SS13 Love...

I was having a general scroll around online yesterday during my lunch and I came across Marks and Spencer's SS13 range and couldn't get over how amazing it looked.  It's not really a brand that I even look at and really only go in with my mums but seriously I want it all! I actually tweeted a few pics yesterday.

Now when I'm looking for new purchases I really have to think about getting a few bits that I can work into both my casual and work wear wardrobe.  My work attire is strictly smart - none of this smart casual look (I would love to be able to get away with that).  So I've mixed my favorite bits into smart and casual looks.

Top to Bottom L-R: Floral Peplum Skirt £39.50, Bird Print Dress £35.00, Mystic Print Pencil Skirt £45.00, Mirror Print Blazer £49.50, Graphic Print Pencil Skirt (price not known) Floral Shirt £25.00

First off I would say that some of these are probably far too bright and colourful for my office, but worked in with some block covered pieces I think they would work brilliantly.  I'm in love with the three skirts and could see myself living in them in the summer - with a nice crisp white shirt!  The red dress is amazingly cute and even though it's probably not the usual office attire I might try this out on a client free day.  The jacket would go great with a little black dress and the shirt would be fab under one of my black dresses.  Also both the jacket and the shirt would work well with my casual gear!

Top to Bottom L-R: Tile Print Trousers £35.00, Dainty Print Shirt £35.00,  Denim Shirt £39.50,  Floral Print Trousers £17.50

Love all of the above and want and need them in my wardrobe.

The trousers are a bargain!

Top to Bottom L-R: Pale Pink Heels £25.00, Floral Box Clutch £29.50, Pink Satchel Bag £25.00, Floral Box Clutch £25.00, Blue Bowling Bag £35.00, Pastel Jewel Necklace £19.50

Want them all!  Seriously how amazing is the selection.  The clutches are particularly gorgeous and not a bad price.  For £25.00 I want the Satchel but I couldn't find it up on the website just yet, but I'm going to stalk it.

Japonesque Safari Chic

Today's post is on some super gorgeous brushes from Japonesque, this is the Safari Chic range. The range includes a Bronzer Brush and Brush Set.
The Bronzer Brush retails at £19.50 on HQ Hair, which say
'The fabulous, too-cute safari chic animal print Japonesque Bronzer Brush is a short stubby, high bristle density brush which gives you perfect application of bronzer and works very well for highlighters, face powders and mineral makeup application.

It has synthetic bristles that deliver exceptional results – every time.

Loved by makeup professionals and beauty enthusiasts alike!'

It's just super cute (I love a bit of animal print) and its is very soft, it's also great at buffing powders or mineral foundation.

Next up is the Brush set which retails at £28 on HQ Hair, the set contains a Powder, Shadiw and Crease brush in a case. Here's what they say
'Explore your wild side with this Safari Chic brush set from Japonesque.

This is a perfect, take-everywhere 3-piece set featuring unique animal print bristles, A signature microfiber case holds the distinctive, ultra-plush brushes expertly designed for flawless makeup application.'

I have loved using the Powder brush but the Shadow and Crease brushes are quite big and I haven't really used them. For a crease brush I like the bristles to be denser and shorter, but this one seems too soft and long. I so far have just used the crease brush to use to apply a base colour over my eyes.

Overall I do think these would make a lovely gift and they have made a lovely addition to my makeup brushes. What do you think? Are you a Japonesque fan? What's your favourite brush or tool?

You can see our other Japonesque posts here.

Thanks

Model's Own Ice Neon

So there's lots of nail effect polishes about at the moment and I have to say I'm not all that keen on a lot of them - Caviar Nails.  Well these are the latest to the selection - Model's Own Ice Neon collection.

The colours are fun and bright - especially for summer.  The whole idea of the range is that they keep their fluoro neon shade Day-Glo bright by keeping them in the fridge.  Yep the fridge! So want the pink, purple and coral ones.

Exclusively available form the Bottleshop on the 9th March or you can pre-order on the website.  will then be available in Boots from 22nd March.

Priced at £5.00.

Bargain Nail Polish

On Beautifully Addicted To we love a bargain and today's is a great find! I first saw these over on Makeup Savvy blog. They are Sally Hanson nail polishes for £1...that's right £1 from Poundland.
These were selling in Boots for over £7 I think, but now online they have them for £2.
I could have picked up about 7 shades but hubby made me choose just four. So I choose Polar Bare (light natural white), Ion (light warm grey), oxide (dark metallic grey), and black platinum (metallic black).
I really like how these applied and I really like the handle on the brush it made it easier to apply the polish. Swatches below are all 3 coats just so I could make them look prefect.

Polar bare is a little too bare for me I would prefer it to be more opaque once on, but the rest are totally me shades.

How great are these for £1, they apply great and I wore Ion for 3 days no chips. I may have to take another trip to Poundland..

Wha bargains have you brought recently?

Thanks

Liz Earle on QVC

The lovely people over at QVC have been kind enough to send over the Liz Earle 4 Piece Essential Discovery Set to try.  After scrolling through the Beauty section of QVC , I'm so impressed with the long list of Beauty brands that are available.  There's a wide list of products from makeup to skincare with some great sets and offers thrown in.

Now we're huge fans of Liz Earle on the blog.  Seriously obsessed with the Cleanse and Polish which was my first real taste of the brand.  Anyway onto the set,

The set includes the core selection from their skincare range - namely the Cleanse and Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and the Repair Moisturiser day cream, along with two Muslin Cloths (love these things!).  The products are 50ml sizes for cleanse and Polish and Skin Tonic, and 15ml each for the moisturisers.  Impressively the kit included both the Normal/Combination and the Dry/Sensitive which at least gives you a chance to try out both formula's to decide which is best.

Personally the Dry/Sensitive is the one for me.

There was also a handy Product Directory included in my box,

For me, all the products are gentle on my skin and I have to say my skin is left feeling soft and refreshed.  The Cleanse and Polish is without doubt the best cleanser I've ever used and the only one I've ever repurchased (lost count of how many I've been through).  The products just work fantastically well together and the easily deal with the horrible way my skin had got with the cold weather.

The Discovery Set is a great way to try out the brand for the first time or give as a present for someone else to try out - we did this a while back for my mum to have a go!  At £21.76 it's a great price for what your getting especially with the choice of the moisturisers and two muslin clothes and baring in mind that the full sized Cleanse and Polish at 100ml costs £14.25 and includes one muslin cloth.

Given my obsession with love of the Cleanse and Polish, I've included a little video clip for a bit of insight,
