Rimmel Lycra Pro Finish in Night Flight

Today's post is a NOTD featuring Rimmel Lycra Pro Finish nail polish in Night Flight.
This is a very dark Aubergine shade, in daylight you certainly see the purple tint but sometimes indoors it looks black! This was three coats but that was my poor and lazy application, you could do two coats and be ok. This claims it will last 10 days, I can't comment on this as I have so far done 2 days (so far all good).
It retails for £4.59 and is available at most Supermarkets or chemists. what do you think?
Thanks

L'Occitane Verveine Sorbet

Today's post is on a new summery range from L’Occitane’s called Sorbet Verbena, launching July 2012.

This limited edition includes an Eau De Toilette, a beautiful Citrus fragrance with top notes of Lime and Grapefruit as well as;

· Cooling Gloss (£8)

· Exfoliating Shower Gel (£15)

· Body Ice Gel (£18.50)

· Refreshing Mist (£10)

What L'Occitane say,
'L'OCCITANE Verbena is formulated from a premium quality verbena extract from Corsica, which is particularly fine and pure. The lemon fragrance energises and revives the senses, thereby helping to banish tiredness and stress. Products include fragrances, body care, home fragrances and hair care.'

I was lucky to receive a sample if the gloss to try.
The gloss has a lovely light refreshing scent and is an easy to apply cear gloss. It feels lovely and refreshing on as it has an ever so slight cooling sensation and is non sticky (yay no hair stuck to lips!). If I was off abroad this would be a fantastic pick me up for my handbag.

I now need to check out the shower gel and fragrance!

What's your favourite way to refresh in the heat?

Thanks

Glossy Box Festival edition

I know I'm a bit late with this one but here's July's Glossy Box which is the festival edition.

The box contains some great little treats this month that would be very handy to take along with you to a festival.
This month I got:
Monu Extra Rich Night Cream - a luxurious night cream to intensively nourish and firm whilst you sleep: full size £36.95/50ml.
Collin Resultime - multitasking superhero containing 15 key skin molecules. Use daily as a serum or sleep mask: Full size £47.25/50ml
These are both lovely but I would never pay those prices so though I will enjoy using these I would never buy them. The Monu is thick but quick absorbing, it's a little too thick for me. The Collin Resultime is more my sort if thing as I love a serum. I am hoping my skin will benefit from this!

Next up Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texture Sea Spray - create tousled, beachy style any time. This surf-inspired spray adds texture and body to any locks: £18.95/150ml.
I actually haven't tested this yet. I meant to take it with me on my holiday and forgot...oops!! But it smells great so thumbs up so far!

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Frosting Irsh Cream Pavalova - a multifunctional cream glss. Use on lips for a tint of colour or cheeks for a luminous glow: £10/15ml
Kryolan Satin Powder - this micro fine powder will create extraordinary shimmer effect eye makeup: £4.75/3g.
Below is the eye shadow on the left which a shimmery peachy shade and the lip frosting in the middle and on the right it is blended out. Both of these would be great to throw in a festival makeup kit as they are multi tasking (you could use eye shadow as a highlighter).
I have enjoyed this months box again. But so far I have only found one thing I want to repurchase from my three boxes which was Caudalie Vinosourse SOS thirst quenching serum. Which I loved!!!! But I do get excited to see what I get to try.

You get all of this for £10.00 a month plus £2.95 p&p, you can get more information here. Are you a Goossy box fan? Is there another box we should look at?

Thanks

Fast & Fruity Nail Polish Remover

Hello,

Sorry for the long break again! L's laptop has not been working and I've been away. But hopefully we can get back on top of blogging!!!

Today's post is on a great bargain I saw on the Sunday Girls Blog. Its Fast & Fruity nail polish remover.
This little beauty costs 89p from Home Bargains (or similar stores), and is a bargain dupe for the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (you can see our review here).
It woks in the same way as the Bourjos one, it has a sponge the you put your finger in and twist. Though the scent is much more pleasant on the Fast & Fruity.
They both perform their main function well. When comparing the two though they both have pros and cons. The Bourjois is a bigger tub and the sponge is firmer. But it costs £4.99 and the smell is quite strong, also with the tub being tall I am worried that the top may dry out quicker than the rest and I will struggle to get my finger in. The Fast & Fruity has a pleasant scent and s a bargain price, I also think the size is more practical. But the sponge is weak on this and started to flake when I attempted to remove some glitter top coat (please note neither are great with glitter....but oh well).

Have you tried either? What do you think?

Thanks
